Hi, I'm Adrián.

I founded Tiempo Software in 2020 after seven years in healthcare technology, where I led integration work across more than 50 health systems. When you hire Tiempo, you work with me directly, from the first conversation to launch.

From physics to production systems

I grew up in Minden, Nebraska, and studied physics at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. As an undergraduate I did research on thin-film polymers and radon decay, supported by a NASA Nebraska Space Grant fellowship. That work was presented at the National Conferences on Undergraduate Research and published through the Materials Research Society. Physics left me with a habit I still use on every project: measure first, change one variable at a time, and let the data argue back.

Seven years in healthcare data

Before Tiempo, I spent seven years at Phynd Technologies, a healthcare technology company, and worked through nearly every seat: QA analyst, web developer, integrations engineer, implementation engineer, technical data product manager, and solutions architect.

I built HL7 interfaces in Mirth Connect for systems like Epic and Meditech, led a small team of developers importing public data streams, managed a data QA team, ran Scrum for more than two years, and sat in client meetings as the technical voice in the room. Along the way I managed HL7 integrations and API connections across more than 50 health systems.

Why Tiempo

I started Tiempo Software in November 2020 to do that same work directly for businesses: custom software, integrations, cloud infrastructure and, more and more, practical AI. I handle the architecture and the client communication myself, so nothing gets lost in a handoff.

When a project needs more hands, I bring in a trusted network of independent shops and senior practitioners I've worked alongside for years. That's the "we" you'll see across this site.

Small, on purpose.

$ cat ./faq.md What working with a senior-led studio actually means.
01

Who does the work?

I do. The person who scopes your project writes the code and answers your texts. Bigger projects bring in collaborators from the network.

02

Can a small shop handle enterprise work?

Seven years inside a healthcare tech company and 50+ health system integrations, then a TMS for Greater Omaha Packing and a multi-tenant AI platform.

03

What does small get you?

No account managers and no handoffs. What clients mention most is working with me directly, plain explanations, and no upselling.

04

Will you be around?

Tiempo has been in business since 2020, some client relationships go back fifteen years, and the studio is a Greater Omaha Chamber member.

What I appreciated most was working directly with Adrián throughout the whole process. He listened to my needs and wants and explained things clearly without the tech jargon. He made sure each solution actually fit what I and my business needed and never tried upselling or recommending overcomplicated systems that would just stress me out.
