Markdown to PDF.

Paste Markdown or drop in a .md file, watch it render live, then export a clean PDF with selectable, searchable text, the same way Obsidian and VS Code do it. Tables, task lists, and syntax-highlighted code all come along. Nothing leaves your browser.

// markdown

// when your browser's print dialog opens, set the destination to “Save as PDF”; the text stays selectable and searchable.
// Markdown parsed by marked v12.0.2 (MIT) · sanitized with DOMPurify v3.0.11 (Apache-2.0 / MPL-2.0) · code colored by highlight.js v11.9.0 (BSD-3-Clause)
// how it works, supported Markdown & privacy

Your Markdown is parsed into HTML by marked, cleaned of anything unsafe by DOMPurify, and styled into a clean document. Code blocks are colored by highlight.js. The preview on the right is a literal white “page” so it mirrors what the PDF will look like.

Getting the PDF. Clicking Download PDF hands the styled document to your browser's built-in print engine and opens the print dialog. Choose “Save as PDF” (or “Microsoft Print to PDF” on Windows) as the destination. This is exactly how Obsidian, VS Code, and Typora export Markdown to PDF, and it's why the result has real, selectable, searchable text instead of a blurry screenshot. The file name you set above becomes the suggested name in the dialog.

Supported Markdown. GitHub-Flavored Markdown: headings, bold and italic, ordered and unordered lists, - [ ] task lists, links, images, blockquotes, tables, fenced code blocks with language highlighting, inline code, and horizontal rules.

  • Page size: pick US Letter or A4; the document is laid out with a comfortable margin for either.
  • Images: remote image URLs and inline data-URI images both render; the export waits for them to load before printing.
  • Page breaks: headings stay with the text that follows them, and tables, code blocks, and images avoid splitting across pages where possible.

Privacy: your Markdown is parsed and rendered entirely in this browser tab. Nothing is uploaded. The only network requests are the one-time downloads of the marked, DOMPurify, and highlight.js libraries from a public CDN; verify in the Network tab.
