Watermark a PDF.

Stamp a text watermark across every page: CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT, a name, anything. Set the wording, opacity, angle, and color, watch a live preview of page one, then download. Your file never leaves your browser.

// how the watermark works & tips

The watermark text is drawn directly onto every page of your PDF using the built-in Helvetica font. The live preview shows page one exactly as it will export, so you can dial in the look before committing.

  • Centered places one large stamp diagonally across the middle of each page, the classic "DRAFT" look.
  • Tiled repeats the text in a grid so it covers the whole page, which is harder to crop out and reads as a security pattern.
  • Opacity low (15–25%) keeps the underlying text readable; raise it for a bolder, more obvious mark.
  • Angle defaults to 45°, the usual diagonal. Set it to 0 for a horizontal banner.

Privacy: your PDF is read into memory in the browser, stamped with pdf-lib, and rendered for preview with pdf.js. Nothing is uploaded; close the tab and the file is gone. The two libraries are fetched once from a CDN.
