Jeremy and Sandra run B&S Painting and Powerwashing out of Minden, Nebraska. They’ve been in business since 2000, serve customers across the Tri-City area (Kearney, Hastings, Grand Island), and get almost all of their work through personal referrals from one happy homeowner to another. The thing they were missing was a basic web presence. Somewhere a referred customer could land, confirm the business was real, and click through to their Facebook page where most of the back-and-forth actually happens.
So that’s exactly what we built: a clean, single-purpose WordPress site that says who they are, where they work, what they do, and how to reach them. No e-commerce, no quoting calculator, no live chat. Nothing they don’t need. WordPress on a managed Tiempo Droplet, a customized theme to match the look they wanted, Cloudflare in front for speed, and a prominent button to their Facebook page on every screen.
The whole engagement was a couple of evenings of work. Hosting + management is a flat monthly fee that’s a fraction of what most managed WordPress hosts charge, and Jeremy and Sandra haven’t had to think about it since launch.
That’s the model I default to for small Nebraska local businesses: cheap, simple, fast to load, easy to point a referred customer at. Anything more complicated would have been a waste of their money.
If you run a small local business that’s been operating on word-of-mouth and just needs a clean web presence, drop me a line. This is one of the most common engagements I do.
